Sakuragochi operates a venison processing facility in Minano, within Saitama’s Chichibu region. The producer describes the project as a way to use deer that are captured in response to damage affecting local agriculture and forestry.
The facility received national gibier certification on June 13, 2025. MAFF’s profile notes prompt intake by a selected group of hunters, rapid freezing, and product development with a French chef, while the shop offers both cuts and prepared venison dishes.
Selected hunters bring animals to the facility promptly, where Sakuragochi applies hygienic processing and rapid freezing before preparing cuts and value-added foods.
